I have been racking my brain trying to figure out ways to show my students more of the world because we live in a rural area and even though there are some things we can do, I want them to see that there really is a bigger world out there! So here is what I have found, enjoy and please leave comments if you have any ideas or suggestions.
Smithsonian National Museum of National History
Statue of Liberty
White House
Mount Vernon
Lincoln Memorial
NASA Space Shuttle

PolarHusky.com
http://www.nationwide.com/cps/nw-your-zoo-view.htm This is a virtual tour of the Columbus Zoo.
Next on my to-do list is to create QR codes to go with this and a fun packet for the students to use. I will post all of this later! Stay safe and warm friends!!!

President's Day, Pinterest, and Superpowers!
Today is President's Day and I am enjoying the day trying to get organized on all this social media. Man oh man is this challenging. My goal is to finally take the time and grow my Pinterest account. I have been really checking out tons of great ideas for our Superpower literacy night coming up in March!
On another note, if you follow me on Instagram, check out the beautiful (somewhat) pictures I took of some of the birds in this snowy and frigid weather! Which I think I will use as a writing activity with my firsties. I was able to attempt to get a picture of this giant woodpecker that we are always hearing in our woods. He has definitely left his mark on a lot of our trees.
